Most of this character's lore is in "main story"! What I'm gonna write here are additional details and infos about him.

Guillaz was a Sygnalus Swan that, after almost murdering his old best friend Dragonfly, got exiled to Canilon permanently. The Gate, mysterious portal connecting the two worlds together, affected his appearance, making them look like a monstrous creature. After many unfortunate adventures because of her dislocated Dog form, she realized that they could shapeshift into a more normal-looking Dog, taking a new identity as an Africain wild Dog named Romain.

After adopting the stray cat Mister Fancy Coat, Romain's mental health started to rise up again. She and his cat lived a tough, yet bright fifteen years together. After Fancy Coat's death, Romain spent about three hundred years living in his library, with their old books and numerous stray cats. No Dog ever noticed he remained immortal, the animal living in the background and shadows of Rascin, the town.
After spending so much time alone, Romain started to talk to himself a lot, but also learned how to play the piano! She is very good at it.

Unluckily, or luckily! for him, her identity got unmasked years later by two Dogs, Screebip and Scotch, who happened to be Sygnalus inhabitants in the past as well! The three became very good friends with time, Romain even getting used to Screebip's loud mouth and hyperactive personality, and Scotch's weird obsession for tinkering and random objects.

Even though he started all over in this new life, Romain still misses his family dearly, especially Felna. There isn't a single day he'll spend without thinking of her lover.

Fun fact: he’s absolutely terrified of spiders and rats, two animals that didn’t exist in Sygnalus!

Side note: Romain is sort of a self-insert. I put a lot of myself into this character. Thorough his lore, she has multiple appearances depending on their mental health: they represent how I dealt and still am dealing with depression myself.
Sorry for using you as a punching ball Romain you're still my favorite I swear..
