Lore:

Guillaz's parents were the rulers of Sygnalus, until they gave up the throne to their son when she turned twenty.
At a rave, he met Felna, and both fell in love at first sight. Felna introduced him to her best friends, the twins Dragonfly and Firefly, and the four always sticked together during their teenagehood and young adulthood: they even gave a name to their friend group, which became the Monstrous Moths. The four nonetheless still saw each other a lot, even when Guillaz and Felna went to rule Sygnalus together. Both rulers had a son, Touan.

As years passed, Guillaz started to become more and more paranoid, thinking that his subjects would want to harm his family. The Swan started to take awful decisions for his people. Felna tried to bring her back to reason countless times, but it was no use: every Swan was too afraid of their king. One day, as Guillaz headed to the city's library, they got called out by his old best friends, Dragonfly and Firefly. Both spoke to Guillaz and told him that they doubted ruling by fear was a good option. The king, in an excess of rage, pulled a dagger and stabbed Dragonfly in the stomach, under a few of his subjects and Felna's eye. He immediately regretted his action, as Firefly shouted for help and every Swan ran, panicked. Felna was too stunned to speak, so guards took their king away and locked her in a room.

The Swan people was frightened, every bird agreed that Guillaz was too dangerous to stay in Sygnalus. Felna had no choice but to banish him through the Gate, a portal that mysteriously appeared in the Green Mantis forest, ages ago.
Felna was planning to tell her partner goodbye as soon as he was to the other side of the portal, but once Guillaz entered the Gate, his feathers fell off, replaced by dark fur, and he turned into a monster, with a long dislocated neck and a frightening smile. Felna and the guards immediately closed the Gate with chains, and, terrified, ran out of the Green Mantis forest...

King Guillaz was never heard of again.
